We are pleased to announce that the Sierra Wireless AirLink MP 595 has been certified for use on the Verizon Wireless EV-DO Rev A network. The ultra rugged design of the MP 595 coupled with the reliable, high-speed data connection provided by the Verizon Wireless EV-DO Rev A Network will enable customers to access mission critical information in any mobile environment. Designed for use in the public safety, field service, and transportation industries, The Sierra Wireless AirLink MP 595 modem is vehicle mounted and enables fast, consistent wide area wireless data communications with headquarters and dispatchers. In addition, the MP 595 provides vehicle location information with an integrated, independent GPS receiver, increasing security for employees and enabling asset tracking. The durability and reliability of Sierra Wireless AirLink MP modems have made them the wireless modem of choice for public safety agencies since the product line was introduced in 1995. The MP 595 GPS provides connectivity to the Verizon Wireless EV-DO Rev A network, offering average download speeds of typical speeds of 600 Kbps to 1.4 Mbps and typical upload speeds of 500-800 Kbps The faster data rates, particularly on the uplink, will improve the user experience for those who need to send large files such as photos or customer information over their wireless connection, enabling a broader set of applications for the vehicle operator. The MP 595 is also fully compatible with currently deployed EV-DO Release 0 networks and CDMA 1Xrtt networks, in areas where an EV-DO Rev A network is not yet available.
